This sewing kit includes the printed pattern of the Denham jacket from Merchant and mills, a red pied de poule fabric for coat and a black cotton twill to make details (check description). There's no need for lining for this jacket.
how I made it: the sample I made is unlined, which is best for this type of fabric. I made the double breast closure only with 4 buttons, not 6 as it is in the pattern because the fabric is quite thick (you can choose how many buttons you want anyway).
You will receive a black cotton twill to make: undercollar (nr.7), pocket bag (nr.14), 2 interfacing for pocket flap (nr.10), 2 interfacing for sleeve tab (nr.11), back neck facing (nr.9).
This jacket in this particular fabric looks best without the collar tab (cloasure) because of the thickness of the fabric.
I made my true size (uk size 10, EU 38).
About the fabric:A super cool deadstock fabric with red and black pied de poule design, perfect for making coats and jackets.
This fabric is quite heavy, but it has a soft touch and is perfect for making coats and jackets that stais on shape (not fluffy ones). The internal part is black and it's extremely soft and warm.
It comes from a famous fashion designer and it was manufactured in Itay.

Take care of this beauty:
wash in cold water at a lower spin. Do not tumble dry. Can be iron at low temperature.
About the pattern: A printed pattern from Merchant and Mills, inspired by a vintage Austrian hiking jacket. This neat piece is perfect for all weathers. A double breasted jacket that can be lined or unlined. It features two flap pockets and a button tab to close the collar.
Denham is more closely fitting than a lot of Merchant and Mills other patterns, do carefully check the finished measurements table, and if in doubt size up.
All seam allowances are 1.5cm unless stated otherwise and are included in the pattern.
