This lovely kit includes the printed pattern of the Denham jacket from Merchant and mills, a beautiful checked tweed wool as shell fabric and a lightweight cotton muslin as lining.
About the fabric: A beautiful designer deadstock wool, It has checks in gray and black, and a blue grid. The blue grid is 12 x 10 cm big.
This fabric has a soft touch and is perfect for making coats, jackets as well as a nice straight skirt
When buying dead stock we ensure that a fabric that as been bought from a brand before and not been used can have a second life, it is actually the most sustainable way to buy fabrics, because they already exist.

dry wash.
About the lining: a lightweight organic cotton muslin in a blue that matches perfectly the blue of the grid of the wool, if you wash it before using it it'll become super soft. Use as a body lining, for the sleeves you will need to use a more fluid fabric, such as cupro or bemberg.
About the pattern: A printed pattern from Merchant and Mills, inspired by a vintage Austrian hiking jacket. This neat piece is perfect for all weathers. A double breasted jacket that can be lined or unlined. It features two flap pockets and a button tab to close the collar.
Denham is more closely fitting than a lot of Merchant and Mill's other patterns, do carefully check the finished measurements table, and if in doubt size up.
All seam allowances are 1.5cm unless stated otherwise and are included in the pattern.
