The Daphne Trouser was developed to answer the need for a smart, flattering trouser with a high waist and a wide leg. Something that's comfy with an elevated stylish feel.

The pattern comes with options to help you personalise the fit to your own body as well personalise the style with a choice of ankle cuff or standard hem.

These trousers have a high and fitted waist which flare out from the hips down to a wider leg. The pattern included a back dart and instructions on how to fit the style to your own body. It comes with 3 different length options and you can also choose between a full length trouser or an ankle cuff.

Sizing: Sizes EU 32 - 56 (UK 4 - 28) (with PDF Layers)

Skill level: Ambitious beginner and intermediate sewers. If you haven't made trousers before you might like to follow the workshop on the modern sewing co. website.

Suitable fabrics: structured heavy to mid weight twills, denims and canvas fabrics. Tougher fabrics will give you a closer fit to the body, and lighter twills and denims are lovely in the summer as the lighter weight fabrics will give you a slightly looser fit.

Fabric requirements:  the lay-plans are done on a single layer of fabric to reduce wastage. 

Self Fabric width 150cm | Sizes 32 - 40 = 200cm | Sizes 42 - 48 = 235cm

Self Fabric width 110cm | Sizes 32 - 40 = 225cm | Sizes 42 - 48 = 265cm

Materials list: Self fabric, a small length of bias binding binding (optional), 18-20cm zip, 1 x button (around 2.5-3cm), thread, about 20cm of good quality fusing
